U.K out of recession - Figures however worse than expected - Minor Sterling weakness

The Gross Domestic Product figures have now been released for the final quarter of 2009 by the U.K and indeed we are now officially out of a recession.

However great that sounds figures only came out at 0.1% growth leading to the potential for a W shaped recession and us slipping back in when the next figures are released.

Sterling has lost ground off of the back of this data.
