Sterling report

The pound strengthened against the dollar on Thursday as improved sentiment on the financial sector supported the currency even though the economic backdrop continues to worsen.

Sterling to Dollar is sat at just over two dollars to the pound on the interbank level at the moment and historically is still at great levels.

Sterling lost 0.10% against the Euro following a rather quiet day datawise.
