Pound Sterling strength huge movements in the right direction against all major currencies USD EUR NZD AUD CAD DKK SEK ZAR JPY

The first few hours of U.K trading have seen massive gains for the Pound against all major currencies inclusive of 1.73% against USD 1.73% against EUR 0.89% against NZD 1.17% against AUD 1.93% against ZAR and 1.65% against CHF.

This is fantastic news for anyone looking to send money overseas and if you have a upcoming transfer it may be worth taking advantage of!!

It is all off the back of two things - Unemloyment data shown in an earlier post and a member of the Bank of England MPC (Monetary Policy Committe) saying that he believes that Quantitative easing is now over for the U.K.

This is major news as every time further QE is bought in or mentioned we tend to see Sterling weakness, and with the market moving on rumour as well as fact this has meant major positive movements for the Pound.

Buying currency - The process

Having assisted many clients over the years that have requirements to send funds abroad I completely understand that each individual case needs to be dealt with in a different way.

Some clients may know exactly how the markets work and purely would like to achieve the best exchange rates, and some may have little or no understanding about how the markets work and need some help along the way.
